Books Away From Home logo

Welcome

We are thrilled to welcome you to the website of the Books Away From Home Foundation. What began as a startling realization ('These children don't have books!') has grown into a widespread, multi-faceted venture that continues to expand daily.

Our logo , designed by Lithuanian artist Dalia Karpavičiūtė, expresses with almost childlike simplicity the message we hope to convey: children deserve books. All children. As a foundation, we have chosen to focus on children in flight, the youngest refugees, who never asked for their lives to be turned upside-down.

Please take the time to explore our site and sign up for our newsletter. Let us know if you'd like to help, and if we can help you help. To get you started, we're temporarily offering schools and libraries 5 sets of Ukrainian children's books for the price of 4: order 4 sets and get 1 set free. This offer will last until the end of 2022. Read more on how to order books here.
